At First Baptist Church we desire to glorify Christ by building up believers. Our goal is to see men and women grow in Christ-likeness from the inside out. Spiritual maturity is not “instant,” but comes from a process of yielding to God, hearing His Word, fellowshipping with other believers, and serving Christ. We want to help families through solid Bible preaching and teaching, regular fellowship activities, and service opportunities. Our members serve in a variety of different ministries, including singing in the choir and special music, teaching, construction, maintenance, visitation, discipleship, nursery, children and teen ministries, and just about any other kind of ministry you can think of. First Baptist Church is an enjoyable and loving family and is always ready to welcome new members.

First Baptist Church has existed for the glory of God since 1877. By God’s grace this fellowship of believers has stood for the fundamentals of the Christian faith; namely, the inspiration and authority of the Bible, the virgin birth, literal death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, and salvation by faith alone in Christ. Our purpose is to glorify God through winning the lost and equipping the saved to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ. First Baptist Church is an independent church associated with the Pennsylvania Association of Regular Baptist Churches (PARBC) and the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches (GARBC).
