W3CP2 = The Will of God

The lack of peace in life’s matters causes stress, panic attacks, worries, and fears.  It is not the $5,000 which was donated to the camp that gave me peace; it was letting my request be made known unto him and resting in his promise that he will meet our need.  That’s what gave the peace and kept my heart and mind in him.  He could have answered my prayer in many ways, and even could have said no but I had his peace that God would help the camp because I’ve seen God’s blessing on the camp for many years and have seen him meet our needs.  The check brought joy in that once again he provided for the camp.  God promises to show us his will and care for his children if we walk holy before him and seek his face.  We don’t have to know how he does it just that he will and we are to trust him and rest in his promises and the understanding of these truths will garrison us with his peace.

Of all that I have written on God’s will, peace is the final confirmation that we have the will of God in our lives and that we are right where God wants us.  The peace of God is the maraschino cherry on the will of God.  The three most important decisions in life are as follows:

  1. Where will you go when you die?  Salvation found in Jesus Christ alone will confirm that you will go to heaven for all eternity.  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but will have everlasting life” (John 3:16).  Failure to receive Christ results in spending eternity in the lake of fire for all eternity separated from God and those that have chosen Christ as Savior.  Revelation 19:11-21
  2. If I am to marry, who will I marry?  This decision must be taken very seriously.  There are many principles in scripture to help you with this decision.  I’ve often told people I can’t tell you who to marry, but I can tell you how to find the right one.  This decision will not affect where you spend eternity but will affect whether you live a life of misery or blessing with the person you marry.  Proverbs 31
  3. What will I do with the rest of my life?  Your life will either be one that lacks meaning or a life full of purpose serving God.  I believe finding the will of God for your life for the short term and the long term will fulfill this.  If you answer all these questions right, I believe you have hit the grand slam of life and you will be blessed in this life as well as the next.
