Thank you for visiting our website. My name is Pastor Dave and I have been at First Baptist Church for four years. As you examine our website, I trust you will gain some insight into the purpose of our church. There are many good churches that preach the gospel. My prayer is that we are one of those churches upon which God has His hand.

It is our desire to see people come to a saving knowledge of Christ. Our next goal is to work with families and individuals and teach them “how to live”.

I believe we grow spiritually from the inside out. It is a process – “line upon line, precept upon precept”. This process takes time by way of expository preaching, topical sermons and character studies in the Bible. When we know and love God, we can then serve Him with joy, raise our families to love Him and also find His will for our lives.
Youth ministry was best exemplified by Jesus when He insisted to the disciples, “Let the children come to me.” God has given us at First Baptist Church a great love for young people. Our desire is that the children in our church grow up to be godly men and women who love the Lord and want to serve Him all their lives. Kids are looking for answers today and are told by the world, “just listen to your heart”. We believe the Bible is our blueprint for guiding young lives to yield to God and love Him with all their hearts. With the Bible as our guide, we have a variety of classes for those 2 years old through high school. Our teachers and leaders care about our kids, and get involved in their lives outside of the normal church setting. When our students reach high school, they are given regular opportunities to serve the Lord and our church family through service projects, special music, and missions trips.

There is a place for you here in the Music and Worship Ministry at First Baptist! There are wonderful opportunities for all ages to sing or play, and to use your special musical talents to inspire praise and lead our church in a great worship experience each week.

With so many options before you, it is very easy to get involved in the music ministry. Whether you are a child, a teenager, adult, or senior adult, you will not want to miss out on the many opportunities our music ministry has to offer. You may have interest in singing in a choir, playing an instrument in the orchestra, or helping in media; whatever your interest, we have a place for you. For more specific information concerning a particular area of interest, call the church office at 724-287-7241.

God is doing a mighty work in both our church and our school. We have seen growth not only in our numbers, but more importantly we have witnessed spiritual growth in our students' lives.

Our desire as a staff is to develop the student spiritually, academically, and socially. Socially we train the students how to build friendships, solve disagreements, and live according to the dictates of scripture. Academically we pursue excellence in scholarship. Our students are trained to use their knowledge of the liberal arts in the service of the Savior. Spiritually we seek to encourage our students' knowledge of their Lord. We truly believe that to know Him is to love Him, and loving Jesus Christ is the greatest commandment!

I count it a privilege to be a part of the ministry here at First Baptist Christian School and Church. I pray the Lord will continue to bless us as we seek to worship Him.
